Hey there! I’m Cheng, a third-year honours electrical engineering student at McGill University. I’m interested in software development, safe and responsibly-vetted ML, and tech that makes the world a better place. Some recent topics that I’m trying to learn more about include control theory and the history of telecommunications.
This summer, I’ll be working on the Invoices team at Stripe. Previously, I was a data science intern working on entity resolution at DataOps startup ThinkData Works and a data science intern on CPP Investment Board’s Quantitative Equities Team.
At McGill, I have the privilege of leading the McGill AI Society, facilitating bootcamps and events that make ML more accessible. I’ve also had the pleasure of competing on behalf of McGill’s figure skating team and working at a digital humanities lab called .txtLAB. When not doing any of the above, I try my best to find time for climbing, music, and attempting to cook yummy food.
