ECSE 397 (Lab Rotation #2)
Jan 2020 - Apr 2020
I had the pleasure of being hosted by Prof. AJung Moon for the second lab rotation of my degree. I spent the term learning about lethal autonomous weapons systems (LAWS) and looking at the potential of using open source licensing to limit the assembly of LAWS.
.txtLab @ McGill
Sep 2018 - May 2020
.txtLab @ McGill is a digital humanities lab that applies computational techniques to the study of culture, with a focus on cultural inequality. I am currently finalizing a paper investigating Spotify's playlist-curation process under Prof. Andrew Piper, funded by a research seed grant from the Centre for Social and Cultural Data Science. I've also helped with data annotations on a paper about character networks.
ECSE 396 (Lab Rotation #1)
Sep 2019 - Dec 2019
For my first of four Honours ECE lab rotations, I was hosted by Prof. Derek Nowrouzezahrai in McGill's Graphics and Imaging Lab. I dipped my toes in rendering and imaging research, and finished off the term by reading, summarizing, and reimplementing parts of the Noise2Self paper on image denoising.
